Video of the Week: Watch “The Secret”

Everyone is talking about “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. Some call it a joke, others say it’s changed their lives. I’ve finally got my hands on the book and the movie and I’ll be reviewing them in the February issue of the Fast Results e-Zine.

If you’re not familiar with “The Secret,” it explains how you can attract the things that you want into your life. It has been featured on Oprah and Larry King and many of the contributors are best selling authors and motivational speakers.

I’ll publish an in-depth review in my monthly e-zine, but you can watch the first 20 minutes of the movie here:

There is no new truth. Napoleon Hill shared the secret in 1937 in “Think and Grow Rich”. Interestingly, he also treated it as a secret that you had to divine by reading the book.

I suspect that the concept is so alien to our notions of causality that people will not believe it if you tell them straight out. Hence, the notion of letting them in on a secret.

Those who ignore the secret of visualization do so at their peril as the Steelers found out:

Ray, I know I can always count on you for some great comments.

I agree 100% about Napoleon Hill. The part of expecting a good parking spot to be waiting for you in “The Secret” was done 70 years earlier by Napolean Hill.

Still, the book and DVD do have some good info, but not much of it is new.
